The White Bear became FAMOUS after the floods of 2007, It hit the world news when it quite literally went under water.
The pub is situated on the north-western edge of Tewkesbury town center on the Bredon Road, this good-value, family-run pub attracts a varied and very friendly clientele.
Handily situated close to the marina, it is popular with river users. The open-plan L-shaped bar offers room to play pool and darts; there is also a skittle alley. Live music features every Sunday afternoon between 4 and 7.
Come and have a drink in our wonderful beer garden and dogs are always welcome… We are also the only pub in town with its very own TARDIS

The pub has again been featured in the CAMRA Good Beer Guide 2018 and CAMRA’s ‘Whatpub’http://whatpub.com/pubs/GLO/0768/white-bear-tewkesbury

  1. This has been my local for over a decade and a half. I still class it as my local despite living 180 miles away on the south east coast. When I come back to Tewkesbury this is the first and last pub I will visit. I am made to feel so welcome by all

  2. I had a bad experience at this pub after wonderful real ales at EVERY pub on the high street. The beer was poor or tired, nearly off! I paid £2 for a bap of cheese & tomato and then a smelly dog decided he wanted my lunch!!
In my opinion avoid and go to ANY OTHER PUB they are all great in this town. How did this pub win CAMERA pub of the year!!!???
    I cannot believe it!!!
