We have been awarded Pub and Cider Pub of the Year 2017 this is the third year running we have won this award, as a fitting tribute to Darren, Tewkesbury CAMRA presented a Plaque to commemorate Darren and his dedication to the pub, Real Ale and Cider and the community, he will be missed by many.
We always have 7 real ales and 5 Traditional Ciders available why not call in and sample one or two.
The White Bear became FAMOUS after the floods of 2007, It hit the world news when it quite literally went under water.
The pub is situated on the north-western edge of Tewkesbury town center on the Bredon Road, this good-value, family-run pub attracts a varied and very friendly clientele. Handily situated close to the marina, it is popular with river users. The open-plan L-shaped bar offers room to play pool and darts; there is also a skittle alley. Live music features every Sunday afternoon between 4 and 7.
The seven guest ales change frequently and include offerings from smaller and local breweries, whilst a range of traditional Thatchers ciders are also offered as well as at least three guest traditional ciders or Perry’s.
Come and have a drink in our wonderful beer garden and dogs are always welcome… We are also the only pub in town with its very own TARDIS
The pub has again been featured in the CAMRA Good Beer Guide 2017 and CAMRA’s ‘Whatpub’.
